Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers to your most pressing questions about the process and what's possible.
Traditional therapy primarily engages your conscious, analytical mind — excellent for building insight, but limited in reaching the subconscious patterns that drive your emotional responses and behaviour. If you have excellent self-awareness and still feel stuck in the same loops, the work hasn't reached the level where change actually needs to happen. That's a limitation of method, not your failure.
No. This is one of the most significant differences from conventional trauma therapy. You don't need to retell your story in detail or re-experience painful emotions at length. Usually a few sentence description of what you've been through is enough for me to help you substantially.
The process is not about reliving — it's about updating the subconscious processing of the experience. Most clients describe sessions as surprisingly calm, and notice a genuine shift in the emotional charge of an issue within the session itself.
Many clients notice a meaningful shift within their first session. Specific limiting beliefs and traumatic memories can often be resolved in a single 90–120 minute intensive. For multiple overlapping patterns, the 6-week programme typically produces comprehensive change that would take years through conventional approaches.
It sits at the intersection of both. I hold an MSc in Psychology and am a trained RRT practitioner, but I don't provide clinical diagnosis or psychiatric treatment. My work is most appropriate for people who are functional but stuck — emotionally, relationally, or in terms of direction and identity.
If you're in acute psychiatric crisis or need medication management, please consult a licensed medical professional. That is not what I do.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is clinically-researched — it combines focused attention on a distressing thought with tapping on acupressure points, interrupting the nervous system stress response. There's a growing body of peer-reviewed research supporting its effectiveness for anxiety, PTSD, phobias, and emotional regulation. You'll also learn to use it yourself between sessions.

All sessions are via Zoom, accessible from anywhere in the world. The methods work equally well online — I work with clients across Europe, the UK, the US, and beyond, all remotely, with no difference in depth or outcome.
